Our Inspiration

Long before Black Jack Sauce Company set sail, there was a pirate whose taste for adventure was matched only by his craving for heat. Black Jack Anderson was a legend of the southern seas—a bold seafarer feared by many, yet admired by those who knew his unshakable courage and love of life’s spice.

 

One fateful night off the coast of Western Australia, while treasure-chasing under a blood‑red moon, Black Jack’s ship was caught in a storm that scattered gold and men alike. Washed ashore on a desolate island, the captain found no rum nor riches—but something far rarer: a garden of wild peppers that burned with the fire of the sun.

Determined to survive, Black Jack ground the peppers with island fruits, sea salt, and a hint of palm sugar over an open flame. When his crew finally found him days later, they swore he’d gone mad—laughing through tears as he spooned the molten brew over charred fish. But one taste changed everything. The mix was bold, sweet, smoky, and hot enough to wake the dead. Black Jack had found his true treasure.

He returned to sea with bottles of his fiery craft, trading them from port to port until the legend of Black Jack’s Sauce spread across every coast. Today, Black Jack Sauce Company carries that same fire, crafting sauces that range from mild to sweet to downright infernal—all made for those who live with bold taste and a thirst for adventure.

Because in every drop of Black Jack Sauce burns the spirit of the fiercest pirate ever to sail the seas… and the heat of his endless quest for flavor.
